DNS resolvers can reduce exposure to ISP or default DNS logging, especially when configured with encrypted DNS such as DoH or DoT. They do not make browsing anonymous: the resolver can still see DNS queries, and destination IP addresses or TLS metadata may still reveal activity. Use Tor or a trustworthy VPN when the goal is anonymity or stronger traffic-level privacy.
